History:
J. Donald Silva, a professor of English in the Thompson School of Applied Science, filed suit in federal court against the University of New Hampshire and some of its officials charging they had violated his academic freedom and free speech rights by suspending him from teaching after he made remarks in class that some students deemed sexual harassment.
Scope and content:
This series contains the files of the court proceedings in Silva v. UNH et al case. It also contains newspaper clippings written about the case and related issues.
