History:
The New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment was established at the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts with the funds provided by the Hatch Act of 1887. The College was founded in Hanover, NH in 1866, moved to Durham, NH in 1893 and became the University of New Hampshire in 1923. The Experiment Station moved and grew with the college.
