History:
In the spring of 1970, the students at the University of New Hampshire went on strike. This was in reaction to the killing of 4 students at Kent State College by National Guard Troops during an anti-war demonstration on May 4, 1970. The University of New Hampshire canceled classes for the rest of the year due to the student strike. Many students and faculty used the time to participate in conferences and anti-war meetings.
Scope and Content:
This series contains issues of the leaflet Strike Daily which was produced by students at the University of New Hampshire during the student strike in the spring of 1970. The leaflets give information on how to get involved in anti-war work and reports national news concerning similar strikes on campuses across the country.
