Biography and History:
Edward D. Eddy served in several different positions at the University of New Hampshire. From 1949-1954 he was the Assistant to the President. In 1952 he also took on duties as Director of University Development until 1955. For the year 1954-55 while the University searched for a new President he filled in as Administrative Officer. In 1955 he was promoted to Vice President and Provost a position he held until 1960. He was an instructor of English at various times during these years.

Scope and Content:
This series contains that files of Edward D. Eddy covering the years 1949-1957. The files contain the records kept during four of the positions he held at the University: Assistant to the President; Director of University Development; Vice President and Provost and English Instructor. This series is divided into three subseries according to the three major positions that Eddy held at the University (subseries I: Assistant to the President; subseries II: Director of University Development; subseries III: VicePresident and Provost).
