History/Biography:
Herbert Ray Tucker ("Herb") of Concord, N.H., was class president of the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts class of 1912 during each of his college years. An Arts and Science major, Tucker was involved in numerous college activity groups including Kappa Sigma fraternity, Casque and Casket, class track team, Glee Club, and the Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.). In addition, Tucker held many college leadership positions including captain of the relay team, manager of class track, associate editor of College Monthly, associate editor of the 1912 Granite, president of the Christian Association, president of the Y.M.C.A., and membership on the executive committee of the Athletic Association. After graduation, Tucker was president of the New York Branch of New Hampshire College Alumni Association in 1920.

Scope and Content:
Herbert Tucker's scrapbook contains memorabilia from his college years, including newspaper clippings about the student strike of 1912. Also included in the scrapbook are Y.M.C.A. clippings, party souvenirs, dance cards, sports schedules and newspaper clippings, Kappa Sigma memorabilia, pictures of college friends and college buildings, commencement programs, a freshman rules poster, and various Christian organizations programs and newspaper clippings.
