History:
Theater Resources for Youth, or Project T.R.Y., was started by Professor Joseph Batcheller of the University of New Hampshire. The aim of Project T.R.Y. was to introduce elementary school children in New Hampshire to live theater. It also provided support for theater groups wanting to put on productions for children.
Scope and Content:
The records for Theater Resources for Youth include applications from schools in New Hampshire requesting that a production be brought performed at their school. The applications provide detailed information about each school and its theater facilities. Also included are TRY newsletters, budget information, teacher guides and correspondence.
