Biography/History:
Philip M. Marston was a professor of History at the University of New Hampshire from 1939 to 1966. He was appointed as the University Historian in 1962 and was working on a history of the University. The manuscript was never finished due to his death on November 11, 1966.
Scope and Content:
This collection contains notes and drafts for the history of the University of New Hampshire that was being written by Prof. Marston. It also contains his personal papers relating to courses he taught and various articles that he wrote.
Arrangement:
The collection is divided into two subseries: Subseries I, manuscript material; Subseries II, personal papers.
