The Meat Boy

The second chapter opens when Bill Ewert discovered a draft of the poem in the Special Collections at the University of New Hampshire. He loved it, and contacted Snodgrass about the possibility of publishing it. Snodgrass thought that was a great idea! He asked for a copy of the draft Ewert had found so he could revise it some more. This included changes to the title. When both men finally approved a draft, Ewert asked Gillian Tyler to create wood block illustrations, and the printing process began.
